According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, younger women diagnosed with breast cancer doesn't get the necessary support they need. Younger women also suffer long term financial and emotional consequences as a result of their medical condition. This is according to the result of a study with 800 breast cancer patient participants from Australia.
When a woman at her prime get diagnosed with breast cancer, the condition significantly affect their career, their relationship and chance to bear a child and relationships. One findings is that when a woman with a promising career got diagnosed with breast cancer, they find it hard to get back on their feet after the treatment.
According to the result of the study of 100 women diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age, they were not able to get back on their job because t hey feel like they are physically not ble to do it while others were emotionally not ready. According to Breast Cancer Foundation chief executive Carole Renouf, there are things that Breast Cancer Foundation can do to help young women back on their feet and survive such crisis. They just have to reach out.
